Native Americans of Queens & Long Island

Tecumseh Ceaser is a traditional Wampum Carver and Cultural Consultant of Matinecock Turkey clan of Queens, NY. and Long Island, Wampanoag, and Blackfoot descent. He will present on local Native culture, history, customs, and identity.

An active member of both the urban Native community as well as the local Eastern Woodlands community, his work includes cultural, language, and ceremony revitalization and preservation. Tecumseh is also a member of the Long Island Native American Graves Protection group and an Advisor for the Global Indigenous Youth Caucus at the United Nations. During his presentation, he will pull from his learnings from Native elders as well as his advocacy work.
