Friend H Beebe, auctioneer, selling outside
his office, 104 Man Street in Astoria about 1870. Photo is from
a Long Island Star Journal 50 Anniversary Section published in 1925.
In the doorway are Beebe's three sons. Looking over the horse's
back, is Charles Heiser, village barber. In apron, Robert Brown,
village butcher. His relationship to George Beebe is unknown, but
likely, considering the close proximity of the two men.
