GAHS to Serve Up History of the Ronzoni Spaghetti Empire Special Slide/Video Lecture "Ronzoni,
Sono Buoni"
Ronzoni Family To Be On Hand to Answer Questions!
Continuing
its exploration of local names and places, the Greater Astoria Historical
Society will serve up the history of the famed Ronzoni spaghetti empire
on Monday, October 4, at 7:30 PM in a special lecture entitled "Ronzoni,
Sono Buoni." The lecture, which will take place at Quinn's Gallery,
35-20 Broadway, LIC, NY, is another edition in the Society's acclaimed
historical lecture series, 'Queens Dreams.'
The lecture will tell the story of an Italian immigrant family of humble
beginnings that came to New York City in the 1880's and how they worked
together to establish what would become one of the most popular brand
names in America today: the Ronzoni brand of pasta.
"Ronzoni,
Sono Buoni" will also feature slides and video (including old clips
of advertising from the 50s and 60s) and an opportunity to meet the Ronzoni
Family. A lively Q & A session will follow the presentation.
