On Monday, May 16, the Greater Astoria Historical Society plans a special evening observing the 60th Anniversary of the World War II Victory.
The program features memorabilia from that era.
Debbie Van Cura will give a brief talk on the home front during that conflict.
This extraordinary event will feature first-hand accounts of local men who served our nation during the conflict.
This will be a once in a lifetime opportunity to listen to their vivid stories. They are members of the “Greatest Generation,” as dubbed by Tom Brokaw. Their service to our nation remains a permanent inspiration for future generations
