On Monday, March 4, at 7:30 PM, the Greater Astoria Historical Society
is pleased to present THE MOTOR PARKWAY at Quinn's Gallery, 35-20 Broadway,
LIC, NY. This lecture with slides is another edition in the Society's
acclaimed lecture series, 'The Faces and Places of Queens.'
The lecture showcases the Motor Parkway, including pre-Parkway views,
construction photos, and those taken from the late 1960s into 2000, showing
what's left. We'll go the full distance--almost 48 miles, in slides.
