Sat, May 22, The Mansions of Old Astoria Village. We see the original village of Astoria, including the old
Reformed Church, Astoria Park, and NY's last remaining beer garden.
Sat, June 26, Long Island City: Old and New. We explore the Hunter's Point area, Court Square, the Historic
District and Gantry Park with great riverfront views. The tour also discusses the days when LIC was a separate city. Optional
walk to Greenpoint afterwards.
Both tours start at 1PM. Admission: $12. $10 for students, seniors and GAHS members. Free
for police officers, firefighters or EMTs with proper ID.
